Nuh SP IPS Arpit Jain Intensifies Cyber Safety Drive, ‘Abhedya App’ Emerges as Strong Shield Against Fraudsters

Nuh, Haryana: In a significant move to curb rising cyber crimes and enhance public safety, Dr. Arpit Jain, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Nuh, has launched an intensive awareness campaign promoting the use of the ‘Abhedya App’, a powerful digital tool designed to protect citizens from cyber fraud and suspicious calls.
The ‘Abhedya App’ was officially introduced by Ajay Singhal, Director General of Police of Haryana Police, as part of a broader initiative to strengthen cyber security across the state. The application is aimed at helping citizens detect suspicious calls and avoid falling victim to cyber criminals who use intimidation, fake threats, or fraudulent schemes to extort money.
Under the leadership of SP Dr. Arpit Jain, a district-wide awareness campaign has been initiated to ensure that every resident becomes familiar with the benefits of the app. Instructions have been issued to all Station House Officers (SHOs), CIA staff members, police post in-charges, and Deputy Superintendents to carry out public awareness programs in mission mode.
Police officials stated that cyber criminals often operate using foreign numbers and attempt to manipulate victims by posing as law enforcement officers or government officials. The ‘Abhedya App’ plays a crucial role in identifying suspicious numbers and providing timely alerts to users, thereby preventing financial losses and protecting personal data.
SP Dr. Arpit Jain emphasized that the campaign is not just a routine activity but a critical mission to safeguard the community. He directed officers to utilize multiple platforms such as radio broadcasts, television programs, social media campaigns, village meetings, school visits, and public gatherings to spread awareness about the app.
Officials have also been instructed to personally assist citizens in downloading and registering on the ‘Abhedya App’. By doing so, the police aim to ensure that even individuals with limited technical knowledge can benefit from the technology.
Addressing the public, SP Dr. Arpit Jain advised citizens to remain cautious while receiving calls from unknown numbers. He clearly stated that no genuine police officer asks for OTPs or money over phone calls. Citizens are urged not to panic when receiving suspicious calls but to verify the information and report any fraudulent attempts to the nearest police station immediately.
He further appealed to individuals who believe they may be potential targets of extortion or cyber fraud to visit their nearest police station and take advantage of the ‘Abhedya App’ for enhanced protection. Police authorities believe that the use of modern technology, combined with increased public awareness, will significantly reduce cyber crime incidents.
The ‘Abhedya App’ is rapidly emerging as a reliable security solution that strengthens cooperation between citizens and law enforcement agencies. With continuous efforts from Haryana Police and the leadership of SP Dr. Arpit Jain, the campaign is expected to play a crucial role in making Nuh district safer from cyber threats and digital fraud.
