Mewat, Haryana: Police in Mewat have taken strict action against traffic rule violators, issuing a fine of more than ₹30,000 to the owner of a Thar vehicle found violating multiple traffic regulations. The move is being seen as a strong warning to those driving vehicles without proper documentation or with illegal modifications.
According to police officials, the action was carried out as part of a special traffic enforcement drive launched in the region following repeated complaints about modified vehicles and traffic violations. During the checking campaign, a Thar SUV was stopped by the police for inspection.
Multiple Traffic Violations Detected
During the inspection, officers found several violations on the Thar vehicle. The vehicle was reportedly moving without a number plate, which is a serious offense under the Motor Vehicles Act.
Additionally, the vehicle windows were covered with black film, which is banned under traffic safety rules due to visibility and security concerns. Police also discovered that the vehicle had unauthorized modifications, which are not permitted without proper approval from authorities.
Considering all these violations, the police issued a challan exceeding ₹30,000 and warned the vehicle owner against repeating such offenses.
