A major and welcome development has emerged for Nuh and Tauru, two backward areas of Haryana. Serious consideration has now begun regarding the development of new sectors in these areas, which have long been deprived of urban development. In this regard, the MLA from Nuh held an important meeting with senior officials of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) in Panchkula.
What is the whole issue? Nuh MLA Chaudhary Aftab Ahmed met with officials at the HSVP headquarters in Panchkula and strongly raised the issue of developing residential and commercial sectors in Nuh and Tauru. He said that the Nuh district has so far remained cut off from the mainstream of urban development, even though it has immense potential for growth.
Why haven’t the sectors been developed yet? Not a single sector has been developed by HSVP (Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran) in Nuh district so far. The process for acquiring land for sectors in the Nuh-Tauru area was initiated in 2009. Farmers were to be given full compensation on time for their land. Later, in 2017, the then government cancelled this process, bringing the entire project to a standstill. The matter then went to court, and the High Court overturned the government’s decision, paving the way for the land to be brought back under the development plan.
What demands did the MLA put forward? Planned sectors should be developed in Nuh and Tauru; farmers should be given timely and full compensation for land acquisition; a draw system should be adopted for plot allocation instead of auctions, so that ordinary and poor people can also benefit; and local needs, education, health, and employment should be prioritized in development plans.

What benefits will local people receive? If sectors are developed in Nuh-Tauru, local residents will directly benefit from improved basic amenities such as better roads, water, sewage, and electricity; new employment opportunities and business growth; a boom in real estate and investment; and overall social and economic development of the region.
What next? HSVP officials listened attentively to the MLA’s suggestions and assured him that further action would be taken after reviewing the technical and legal aspects. If this plan materializes in the future, it could prove to be a historic step for Nuh and Tauru. This initiative for sector development in Nuh-Tauru is crucial for the future of the region. If the government and HSVP implement this plan, this area, which has been awaiting development for years, could get a new identity.
