Faster Claim Settlements
- Nearly 50% of EPF claims are now settled within 3 days
- The auto-settlement limit for EPF advances has been increased from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakhs, ensuring faster access to funds in emergencies
- The number of approval layers has been cut down to make the process smoother
EPS 95 Pension Scheme Update
The Madras High Court has ruled in favor of allowing certain post-September 1, 2014 retirees to claim a higher EPS 95 pension. This applies mainly to employees of exempted establishments under specific conditions.
The judgment is expected to benefit thousands of pensioners who were earlier denied higher pension options due to regulatory changes
