Google’s parent company Alphabet has agreed to buy cybersecurity firm Wiz for $32 billion, its biggest deal to date. The strategic move is aimed at strengthening Google’s cloud computing division amid growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) services.

Viz was founded in 2020 by alumni of Israel’s elite cyber intelligence unit 8200, which specializes in scanning  wiz cloud storage for security risks. The company has grown rapidly, estimating that its revenue will hit $1 billion this year. Prior to this deal, Viz had raised a total of $1.9 billion from venture capital funds and private investors
