The 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme has been released today, 24 February 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transferred an amount of about ₹ 22,000 crore directly into the bank accounts of 9.8 crore farmers in a program held in Bhagalpur, Bihar, so that the farmer gets ₹ 2,000 more benefits

Under this scheme, every farmer is provided with an additional assistance of ₹6,000 per year in three equal installments. Farmers can check their beneficiary status on the official website of PM-KISAN. For this, click on the “Beneficiary Status” option, enter your Aadhaar number or account number, and click on “Get Data”.

Note that the eKYC process is mandatory to avail the benefits of the PM-KISAN scheme. Farmers can complete their eKYC through either OTP-based eKYC, data-based eKYC, or face-to-face-based eKYC.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme was launched on 1 February 2019. To make it beneficial, Union Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced it during the Interim Budget 2019-20.
